Pineapple Upside Down Nofun Post Cake
Ingredients
Dull Boring Topping
2 Cups of Boring Sugar
1 Stick of No Creativity
3 Rotten nofunapples
Passionless Pointless Cake
2 1/2 cups No Purpose No Passion Flour
1 Cup of No Substance powder
3 Cups of No Content
1 3/4 cups of Unfocused sugar
4 sticks unsalted Lackluster Butter
4 large Dull Uninteresting Eggs
Directions
1. First we are going to make the Dull Boring Topping. In a sauce pan add a stick of no creativity and 2 cups boring sugar. Over medium heat melt the stick of no creativity and slowly dissolve the boring sugar until you have a completely blended noncreative mixture. Heat the noncreative mixture until it is bubbling over with no creativity.
2. Pour this boring mixture into a 8 by 3 inch text box used to create a post.
3. Now skin and core 3 rotten nofunapples. Attempt to cut them into rings. This may be difficult as rotten nofunapples are so squishy and may be hard to slice. Just do your best to cut as many slices as possible.
4. Arrange whatever rotten nofunapple slices that you cut in a single layer on top of that dull boring mixture. Set this aside anywhere will do.
5. Preheat the Internet oven to whatever you want. Now in a bowl whisk together the no purpose no passion flour, the no substance powder, and the no content.
6. In another bowl, mix the unfocused sugar and lackluster butter. Then beat in the 4 dull uninteresting eggs.
7. Now slowly add the no purpose no passion mixture 1 cup at a time to the unfocused lackluster butter mixture. Don’t do it too fast or you will get lumps. Mix it up until you have a smooth creamy no passion no purpose unfocused cake batter.
8. Pour this passionless pointless cake batter over the absolutely dull boring topping that is sitting in the 8 by 3 inch text box.
9. Bake this passionless pointless cake on the Internet until done. How do you know when it is done? Take a tooth pick and stick it into the center of the post. Now pull it out and take a look at it. Do you see anything? You probably won’t see anything if you have a pointless post like this one. Actually if you see nothing then your Pineapple Nofun Post Cake is done. Well actually I should call it a Boring Rotten Pointless Passionless Nofunapple Post Cake. Ah but wait there is one more thing we have to do. Turn it over. Now you got a Boring Rotten Pointless Passionless Nofunapple Upside Down Post Cake.
The Message behind the Recipe
Geez the post almost sounds angry. It certainly wasn’t supposed to come out that way. The only point that I was trying to make here is when creating posts you want to give them some content and some purpose. Sure they don’t all have to be filled with all kinds of insightful knowledge as we can’t solve world hunger in a single post, but just giving your reader something to think about while mixing in a little fun and entertainment I think can go along way. Now if we just had a big enough bowl maybe we all could solve world hunger, but for now I think its time to go bake some Passionate Bread to spread around.
I know what you are thinking where is the picture? Well there isn’t too many people out there making Pinapple Upside Down No Fun Posts.

I knew exactly what you were getting at Jim. A blogger should do almost the exact opposite as to the post to make it more exiting and interesting. I think you did very well.

Was thinking this isn’t a cake I want to make. Good point Jim. Quality is more important than quantity.

Yes I think a quality post is important. That being said it doesnt have to be a long post to be a quality post. It can be short and compact and give a lot of information and fun!

Lots of times, quick to the point actionable posts do the best.

You know I don’t think I have ever had a real Pineapple Upside Down Cake….I love Pineapple though
[Reply]
Oh my Jim, that will never do. It’s really easy if you use a cake mix. And if you put some cherries in the middle of the pineapples, it would make the perfect gift for your Valentine. Off the top of my head.
Grab a can of pineapples, melt some butter in the bottom of a pan that can go in the oven, add some brown sugar and swish it around a bit to blend the sugar and butter. Lay the pineapples gently in the sugary goodness. Dab a maraschino cherry in the middle. Follow the directions for baking the cake on the box. Yellow cake mix works just fine. I usually replace the liquid called for in the cake mix with the leftover pineapple juice. You did strain it, right? Pour the batter over the pineapple mixture and bake as directed. Let the cake cool a while and flip it onto another plate. WhaLa! Pineapple Upside down Cake. If you’re lucky, the recipe may be right on the cake box. Good Luck!!!

Thanks for coming by Louise!
I think there must be some great deals on sticks of No Creativy online somewhere, ebay? Amazon? Because I’ve been seeing a few too many reruns myself.

Well thanks to you and Louise I’m dying for a slice of pineapple upside down cake. I’ll have to convince my son, the future chef, to bake one again. I think his might be tastier than the nofun post cake

Looks like I had a few spoonfuls of unfocused sugar in my comment, don’t know how I screwed up ‘Creativity’ so bad.
Have you ever tried Hummingbird cake? Someone told me about that before, I hadn’t even heard of it, but after looking it up online I’ve decided I want to try it. Interesting topics can pop up during training sessions. I guess I could start a blog titled “True confessions of a Fitness Trainer with a Sweet Tooth.”
Anyways, Hummingbird cake, should I keep my eyes open for the jimyjack version? LOL : )

Hummingbird Cake MMMM never heard of it. It must be a real challenge trying to catch one of those buggers to put in the cake. Those birds are so Fast:) I’ll have to look it up thanks Aaron!
So tell me its ok to have a bit of sweets right? Cause I do love chocolate
oh no tomorrow is Valentines Day!
It is funny like while building these recipes I am looking at different recipes online and they do actually sound great and there seems to be so many different ways to make the same thing. So its funny I am learning real recipes as I go along!
I’m sure my cat could catch the hummingbird, but I don’t think he’d be willing to donate it to the baker.
Yes it’s definitely alright to have the occasional treat, just as long as you’re paying attention to how much, and as long as you are taking care of yourself with regular exercise. Of course if someone is diabetic it needs quite a bit more control.
Every Saturday we have desert. This weekend winds up being a bonus since I got everyone a small box of candy for Valentines Day. My younger son will earn his though. We have a one on one basketball match tomorrow. He is under the impression he can beat his old man so I’m going to have to give him a ‘dad rules’ 101 course on the court. : )
Sometimes I’ll go online to look up something as simple as the temperature and length of time to cook something in the oven and wind up finding all sorts of great sounding recipes. It’s almost overwhelming!

I do enjoy chocolate and hey its Valentines day. Just have to run around with the kids a little more. Which usually isn’t a problem. The do keep me moving.
You are right there are a lot of recipes out there and like I said I am seeing a lot more as I am researching to write the posts.
Thanks for coming back Aaron!

Excellent post Jim! I think this recipe certainly applies to the massive amount of blogs that either repeat or rehash the same ole crap in the hopes of making a few cents from their 3,204 cups of Adsense ads.
…I must admit though…I really was hoping that I could add another recipe for pineapple upside down cake to my book of tricks. Looks like this is one I’ll have to skip. =)
