I must admit, Jim, my mind has been going a mile a minute as to what you can do with posts like these. The possibilities are endless AND, such FUN!!!

The Pumpkin Pie is a bit more narrative but the concept is the same. Charming too:)

I'm going to try to get to a post about words in recipes before the end of the month. My back burners "bubbleth over" right now and I'm still unpacking books. That's pretty much all that's left, thank goodness:)

I only asked about the linking because someone emailed me telling me I was doing it wrong and if I really wanted to give someone "link luv" I would link to the title of their blog. That doesn't always work for me so I was just wondering. I'm going to do as I do because...

Good luck with your search into the culinary blog tipping world. Let me know if my books can help in any way!!! Louise

Hey Jacqui I mean the Goddess known as Jacqui! Yes you can eat all you want and you don't need to run a mile to burn it off. Hopefully it stuck in your head. I glad you enjoyed it. Now I got to work on the Nutritional Value of the Passionate Wordpress blog bread. That will be coming out soon.

Thanks for dropping by! I appreciate the comment!

I love this! As an avid foodie and blog consumer, I was thrilled to find that your post was not as fattening as I thought! On the contrary, the nutritional breakdown showed it to be highly beneficial and will be a valuable addition to my diet revamp for 2010.

Bliss and blessings,
The Goddess known as Jacqui

Hey you sparked the idea in my head :)
No I actually did not see the one for Pumpkin Pie. I'll have to check it out.

The vintage cookbooks does sound interesting. I am sure there are a lot of different words that people don't use now a days. I look forward to reading your post.

Ok you just made me think because I know I probably don't give credit the proper way. So as far as giving proper credit I think the best way is to use the words for linking. The numbers are ok I just think the link is more visible to people if the words are used. Now really its up to you and your personal preference because as long as you have a link back to their site whether the link is in the number or the words credit is being given if you know what I mean.

Now I don't know the exact proper format but what I have done to give credit is put the name of the person and then I put the blog name (or post) and put the link in the Blog Name. If that makes sense. Sometimes adding the name personalizes it. I don't know if it is necessary as I have seen links that don't have the name of the person just the blog name or post.

Anyways here are some examples

Article Oh Boy it's Spagetti Day! by Louise at Months of Edible Celebrations.

or

Louise at Months Of Edible Celebrations. See the link in Baked stuffed post.

Hopefully that makes sense. I am not an expert and I need to start giving proper credit I am sure there are many formats for giving proper credit and I am just giving you a couple. I did leave a note on your blog. I think you are doing fine giving credit. Again you made me think and I am going to look into it further. I'll let you know what I find.
Thanks

Hi Jim,

Please, please, please, stop giving me credit for these Fabulicious "recipes." I am quite aware of the amount of creative ingenuity that goes into these posts and ALL the credit belongs to you!!! Rhyming recipes have never been my forte. (Did you see the one for Pumpkin Pie?)

As for the cookbooks, you are more than welcome to any one of them. Some of the vintage ones are just filled with gone by words seeking to be brought to the masses. I may just do a post filled with some of them.

Jim, I have a bit of a "technical" question. Perhaps, you can answer. It is, when linking to someone's blog post, does it make a difference what words or in my case, numbers, you use to create the link? In other words,

1. Baked Stuffed Post (@ Blogging Tips and Tricks.)

Where is the best place to create the link for the other person to get "linking credit" or does it really matter?
Thanks Jim:)
