How to Add In-Text Advertising to Your Blog
In my previous post about How to Create a Niche Blog I had told you I had experimented with a few different things. One of the things I experimented with was In-Text Advertising. I had seen this In-Text Advertising on other sites and I wanted to see how it worked.
How do you add in-text Advertising to your Blog?
Well there are quite a few companies out there that do In-Text Advertising. I happen to stumble upon and InfoLinks.
Text Link Ads
I first signed up with . Signing up was easy and really only takes a minute. Truth is I actually have not been approved by Text Link Ads yet. I signed up a few months ago with Text Link Ads, but they haven’t approved my blog yet. My Blog is not disapproved it just hasn’t been accepted. When I log into Text Link Ads and check my account it just says that my site has been previously submitted and that they reevaluate monthly. Well it’s ok with me. I honestly don’t know why they haven’t approved my site, but it may be just because I don’t have the level of traffic they are looking for. I will just keep checking in with them every once and a while.
InfoLinks
InfoLinks is another company that I found that also does In-Text Advertising. Again signing up was easy and fast. Guess what? I was approved by InfoLinks pretty quickly. I think it was like less than a day. Anyways, basically I signed up and submitted my site. Then once my blog was accepted I logged into my account with Infolinks and all I needed to do to activate the InfoLinks In-text advertising on my Blog was to copy a small script to the header of my Blog. They have detailed instructions on how to copy and where to past the script. It really was pretty easy even for a guy like me:)
Once I installed the script I was in business. Basically what happens is that the script calls the InfoLinks service to scan the blog page and immediately add In-Text ads on the page without making any other changes to your Blog. Now on your Infolinks Account you can specify the color and underlining of the highlighted text and you can even specify the number of in-text ads per page.
So what is the Cost of InfoLinks In-Text Advertising? $0.00
The Bigger Question.
Can I make money online using In-Text Advertising?
Sure you can, but I wouldn’t quit your day job just yet.
In-Text Advertising is a lot like Google Adsense when it comes to making money. When people click on the ad you make money. I made somewhere between $.01 and $0.35 per click. In the first 2 months I made a total of $5.08 from In-Text Advertising on my little niche site using InfoLinks. Not too bad for something that is all automatic once you add the script to the header of your Blog. Again, like Google Adsense if you have a decent amount of Traffic you can probably make a bit of money with In-Text Advertising, but again the key word is Traffic.
Now some people might not like the looks of In-Text Links on their site. Its not that it looks bad, its just that when your mouse hovers over the highlighted text an Advertising block comes up, which could be annoying for some readers of your blog. So it’s really your preference. I haven’t added Infolinks to this site. There is no real reason why I haven’t and I may one day, but for now I am just going to use it on my Niche Blog.
I think one of the keys to making money on the Internet is to try and use different money making methods. Don’t just rely on one method. Like I had said depending on the traffic at your site you might not make a lot with In-Text Advertising, but if you combine that with Google Adsense and some Affiliate links then you will be on your way. You need to find out what works best for you. So go ahead take a look at these 2 companies. You can give it a try and if you don’t like it you can always remove it.

I used infolinks a while back I made me about very easy to add but figured it wasn’t worth the money at the time. It is alway good to expirement and try new things.

Thanks! I really appreciate it. Honestly I will admit when I first started blogging I wasn’t sure what I was doing with the blog. I think if you had to get a license to blog I would have failed. I think for me anyways it took me a while to learn and to get into my own writing style. I am slowly learning and I am really enjoying developing posts and the best part interacting with the few readers that I have

I also agree that text ads are annoying for users that’s why i am afraid to add them on my new blog which has now good traffic and PR-3 . But from adsense i am earning nothing. What to do? My blog link is in my name.
