How Often to Post to Your Blog
How often should I post to my blog?
Well a little more than I have lately
Honestly you want to post regularly to keep the rhythm of your blog beating like a bass drum in a marching band, like Michael Jackson singing Beat It, like the pulse of a new born baby. You want to keep the rhythm going to keep your readers reading and to keep your blog alive.
I believe that as you begin to build and create your blog with posts that you begin to create a rhythm to your blog. Your blog begins to come alive as you create posts and your readers of your blog actually start to feel this rhythm. They begin to feel the pulse of your blog and get into the rhythm of visiting and reading your blog regularly. If the rhythm is broken or slows down your readers can feel it and they will loose the rhythm and will tend to visit less often.
How often do I need to post to my blog to keep the rhythm going?
Once a day, twice a day, three times and a day?
Consistency is the key. I am not going to tell you how often you should post. What I am going to tell you is that you need to be consistent. You need to keep the rhythm going to keep your readers coming to your blog and to keep your blog alive. If you loose your rhythm then you will loose your readers.
Sure there is a lot of other advice out there telling you that you need to post once or even twice a day or more to generate traffic faster, to get indexed on search engines faster and sure it does work, but you also need to ask yourself honestly how often can I post to my blog. If the answer to that question is that I can create a new post ever other day or every third day or every Tuesday at 8:00am than that is what you should do. What I mean by that is that if you can only post on Tuesday at 8:00am and you get in the rhythm of doing this your readers will get into the rhythm of going to your blog every Tuesday at 8:00 am to read your new post. If they know that they will see a new post every Tuesday they will be back every Tuesday for that new post. Consistency is what will create an inner rhythm to your blog. Sure it might take longer to get indexed on search engines if you only post once a week, but you need to ask yourself why did you create your blog. Did you create your blog to get indexed on search engines or did you create your blog for real people to read. Don’t get me wrong we all want to get indexed on search engines and it is important to driving traffic, but focus on building the inner rhythm to your blog and you will drive traffic to your blog.
So my point is create a good rhythm for your blog a rhythm that you handle and this rhythm will transfer to your readers. Your readers will get into the rhythm and continually visit your blog. As your blog begins to grow the rhythm will begin to be felt by search engines and they will start to get into your rhythm too. Your readership will then grow through search engines and the rhythm of your blog will continue to grow stronger and stronger. Be consistent create a good rhythm for your readers and you will be on the road to a successful blog.
If you loose the rhythm for a while it is understandable sometimes life throws things at you, but if that happens don’t put yourself down just pick up the rhythm and start going again.

Definately consistency is key. Your readers like it and so do search engines.
