How to Pick a WordPress Theme
Just thought I would try something and change my theme. It is another free WordPress theme. Its called Press Play. I still need to tweek it a little, but I think I like it better.
What goes into picking a great theme?
Everyone has their own unique theme style that they perfer. What I think works best in a theme is a style that is clean and nicely organized. A theme that has a good color combination that is pleasing to the eyes. I think a white or off white background with black font is neat, clean, and easy on the eyes and makes it easy for people to read. I mean really what is the one thing that we want people to do on our blog? We want people to read our blog. So we have to make it so that people will read it by making it pleasing to the eyes.
Remember there are many WordPress themes out there. There are a lot of free WordPress themes all over the Internet. There are also a lot of Premium Themes for WordPress that cost a little bit of money like Frugal and Thesis. But remember there are many great Free WordPress themes right here at Word Press. So before you go looking somewhere else for a WordPress Theme check out the free themes at WordPress.org.

Thanks Isaac. I liked the other theme I had, but I felt like a change and I like this one. Clean and a little more inviting I think. I will have to look into a logo in the header next

Hi I’m Trevor

I am a student of Alex Jeffreys I have been looking around at fellow students blogs and came across yours. Definitely one of the best. I felt I had to leave a comment because your blog is simply, so inspirational and informative, It has given me hope and ideas to better mine.
It is so clean and fresh looking. I am always worried I overdo it myself, to much content you know. Your blog is just right. I would appreciate if you would pass comment on mine just to confirm I haven’t overdone it. On my blog I am doing a theme on successful internet marketers. Really like to know what you think as I am pretty new to all this layout stuff. I hope one day that I can write about your internet success. Keep up the good work

Love the theme colour scheme very easy on the eye. I must say I’ve become very frustrated with a lot of the themes I’ve tried they just seem a bit of a chore from a customisation point of view. I am in search of the perfect out of the box theme but alas I’ll have to keep looking. As a side project I’ll be trying to build a custom theme this year more as a an experiment than anything but hopefully that’ll become my one theme to bind them all.

I have installed a few themes just to see what they look like. You know I have kinda thought about creating a theme I just don’t know whats involved and a little scared to. its probably not too bad once you know what you are doing. Like anything else. Good luck with creating a custom theme it does sound like fun!
BTW I like the look of your theme. It is clean, neat and organized well.
Hey thanks for chewing through my posts! I appreciate it!
