Ingredients
1 Cup of Originality
1 Cup of Uniqueness
1 Cup of Frequency
1 Tablespoon of 5 Spice Blog Powder
Pinch of Keywords
3 Large Direct Traffic Eggs
½ Box BlogEngage Crackers
½ Box Digg Crackers
½ Box StumbleUpon Crackers
½ Box Del.icio.us Crackers
½ Box Technorati Crackers
½ Box of COOB Crackers (Comments On Other Blog Crackers)
2 Tablespoons Twitter Pepper
1 Large Baked Stuffed Post cut into finger sized pieces
Directions
Ok for this recipe we are going to make some Search Engine Traffic Powder, a Direct Traffic Wash, and some Referral Crumb Coating to coat our posts. First step though is to Preheat Internet Fryer to 4000 degrees. Yeah it’s hot. How else are you going to make Hot ‘N Spicy Buffalo Posts?
Search Engine Traffic Powder
1. In a bowl mix together originality, uniqueness, and frequency. While mixing sprinkle in a bit of that 5 Spice Blog Powder to spice it up and maybe a few keywords if you got them. Search Engines love to be fed frequently and with originality. The 5 Spice Blog Powder adds a bit of your own personal unique spice and a pinch of a few keywords adds a little bite for those Search Engines.
Direct Traffic Wash
2. Crack 3 Direct Traffic eggs in a bowl. Beat the Direct Traffic; gently now you don’t want to hurt them.
Referral Traffic Crumbs
3. In a large size zip lock bag, add Blogengage Crackers, Digg Crackers, StumbleUpon Crackers, Del. Ico.us Crackers, Technorati Crackers, COOB Crackers and any other referral crackers of interest. You can even add some Facebook Crackers to taste. Really any referral crackers will do. Zip the bag shut and place on a hard surface preferably a counter top.
Now for the fun part
4. Crush the crackers anyway you like. One of the things I enjoyed when I was a kid was crushing crackers with a wooden rolling pin. When my mother wanted some cracker crumbs I was her personal cracker crumb crusher. With a hand on each end of the rolling pin I would crush the crackers like a steam roller would flatten the pavement. I used to enjoy this when I was a kid. Ok I still do, but my wife doesn’t like it because the crumbs don’t hold a lot of cheese when you are trying to have cheese and crackers. Well anyways if you prefer, and you are having a bad day, you could use a wooden mallet. Take it easy though we want crumbs not dust. Of course you could use a food processor, but what’s the fun in that. Sitting there pushing a button. What better stress reliever then crushing your favorite Social Networks especially Facebook. Don’t get me wrong though I do love my Social Networks.
5. Once fully crushed into coarse crumbs open the zip lock bag and shake in a bit of Twitter Pepper. Then close the bag and shake to fully combine and mix all the ingredients together. Dump and spread the Referral Crumbs on a cookie sheet.
Now onto the Special Coating Process
6. Like an assembly line from left to right first lay out your finger sized posts, and then next to them place the bowl of Search Engine Traffic Powder followed by the Direct Traffic Wash and finally the cookie sheet of Referral Traffic Crumbs.
7. Pick up one 1 finger size Post and roll it in the Search Engine Traffic Powder until it is fully coated with originality, spice, and uniqueness. Pick it up and you may notice a few keywords stuck to it. This is a good thing.
8. Now dredge the Seasoned Post into the Direct Traffic wash. Then take the post and roll it across the Referral Traffic Crumbs fully coating the post with all the referral traffic you can get. You can even lay the Seasoned Post down and bury it with the crumbs. This works well too.
9. Now lay the Seasoned Coated posts on a plate beside the Internet Fryer and repeat process for all of the finger sized posts.
10. When all Posts are coated you are ready to fry. Pick up one Seasoned Coated Post and place it in the Internet Fryer. You may hear a little screaming when the Seasoned Post hits the Hot Internet Oil. Don’t worry that’s just your Traffic screaming for the post.
11. Fry the Seasoned Coated Posts until golden brown. Use tongs to turn pieces over and cook evenly.
12. When golden brown use tongs and take out the Hot ‘N Spicy Buffalo Posts and place them on some paper towel to cool.
You know I got to the end of creating this post and thought to myself “What is the message here?” I got so wrapped up with creating the recipe that I forgot why I was writing it. Well let me give it a shot. Here we go!
The Message behind the Recipe
So we are all out there creating posts and we place them on the Internet. Now what we all want is some traffic. How do we get traffic and readers to our blog? Well we add a bit of spice, passion, and originality to our posts. We may also sprinkle in a few keywords too. But in order to build some referral traffic we need to roll our posts into our favorite Socializing Networks and what works really well is to make COOB (Comments on other Blogs) This can really drive referral traffic to your blog.
Now lately I have been getting a lot of referral traffic from one of my blogger friends out there and his name is Sire. While I didn’t have a box of Wassupblog.com crackers to make crumbs and roll my post into he was gracious enough to mention me in a recent post. For me this was totally unexpected and I cannot thank him enough for his kind words. This not only generates a ton of traffic and new readers to my blog, but really gives me a lot of respect for him for his generosity.
So create a post, add some passion and originality dip it in some Direct traffic wash and roll it through some Socializing Networks and you will see you not only get traffic and readers to your blog, but it may just bring in some comments as well. I think comments are one of my favorite parts of the Blogging process. Oh and don’t forget to get out there and make some comments on other blogs for the best kind of referral traffic you can get.
